Board a motorcoach for a drive to the quaint village of Santa Gertrudis. Take photos, visit the tiny town center, or shop in the small boutique stores.
Next up is San Mateo, which you will reach by way of a green hilly landscape. The Can Maymó Winery is located here -- a well-known wine producer on the island. They grow their own grapes and produce their own wine on site. The Phoenicians first grew grapes on Ibiza, but not in the same quantities grown here today. Nowadays, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Merlot and Syrah are planted on Ibiza, in addition to the traditional varietals such as Monastrell and Malvasía.
In the winery, familiar production techniques and high ecological standards are teamed with traditional methods and aging processes to produce wonderful wines. Step inside the bodega to hear an explanation of the production and blending process responsible for producing these quality wines. Enjoy a tasting of different wines with typical Ibizan snacks such as fresh bread, sobrassada, and local cheese.
End your tour with a drive through a magnificent park as you return to the pier.
Please note: Minimum age for wine tasting is 18 years.
