Embark on a scenic motorcoach tour of the charming villages of Santorini. Begin by capturing breathtaking photos from Profitis Elias and then head to the picturesque village of Oia.
Pronounced "Eee-ah," Oia is nestled high atop the cliffs of Santorini's northern terminus, offering stunning views of neighboring volcanoes and renowned for its tranquil beauty and mesmerizing sunsets. Wander through narrow, cobblestone lanes adorned with brilliantly whitewashed buildings, quaint shops, sunlit cafés, and iconic, blue-domed churches. The serene landscape of Oia has inspired artists worldwide, and you'll have the opportunity to explore galleries, shop for souvenirs, savor refreshments, and revel in the magnificent vistas.
Next, visit the village of Thíra, Santorini's capital, known for its captivating blend of Cycladic and Venetian architecture. Explore the vibrant main square, bustling with colorful activity and offering access to an array of shops, jewelry boutiques, and traditional tavernas. You may opt to linger in town for independent sightseeing, shopping, or a visit to the Prehistoric Museum to discover Santorini's rich archaeological heritage.
After your free time in Thira, head to the Cable Car Station to take the Cable Car down to the tender pier (ticket included in the tour price).
Please note: Due to local port logistics and port authority regulations, your tour will conclude in Thira Port rather than at the original tour departure point. From Thira, guests may return to the ship by cable car, which descends to the Old Port of Thira, where the ship's tenders will operate continuously throughout our stay in port. Your return cable car ticket is included in your tour and will be handed to you by your tour guide before the end of the tour. Please retain your ticket, as it will be required to access the cable car and cannot be reissued if lost. The cable car is a public service shared by all visitors to Santorini. As this is a very popular destination with multiple cruise ships and independent visitors, long waiting times should be expected at both the upper and lower cable car stations. Guests may wish to take some additional time to explore Thira’s picturesque streets, shops, and viewpoints before returning to the cable car, as waiting times may be shorter outside of peak periods.
