Meet your guide at the pier, where your walking tour of Korčula commences.
First, wander into the Old Town of Korčula -- a painstakingly planned masterpiece of architecture and urban design. The layout of the streets resembles the shape of a fish skeleton. This construct takes advantage of different wind directions to create a giant air conditioning system that circulates clean air while protecting the town from strong winds.
You'll visit the Cathedral of St Mark -- a splendid example of Korčula's famous stone masonry.
Next, relax on a scenic drive to the village of Lumbarda, originally established by Greek settlers. Here, you will have the intriguing opportunity to visit an island family at home. Taste some traditional delicacies such as homemade cheese, smoked ham, capers, salted fish salad, and the excellent wine produced in this region.
Please note: Walking is at guests' discretion at the estate and in the village. Terrain includes several steps, uneven surfaces, cobblestones, and gravel. The cobblestones can be slippery when wet. Wear sturdy non-skid walking shoes.
