Head inland to Ljubljana -- Slovenia's Capital. Within a sprawling mass of Eastern-bloc architecture sits a nugget of gorgeous architecture -- an Old Town that is a stunning collection of houses, shops, and businesses meandering along the banks of the Ljubljanica River. The river is crisscrossed by a series of quaint pedestrian bridges and flanked by wide, tree-lined walkways. Follow your guide on a walking tour that leads you past the Town Hall and the stunning Robba's Fountain -- considered the city's heart and soul during the Middle Ages.
See the open-air market and enjoy a riverboat cruise for a waterside perspective. You will pass the Dragon Bridge, the Cobblers' Bridge, magnificent Art Nouveau mansions, and some masterpieces designed by world-renowned architect Joze Plecnik.
