"Paphos has been inhabited since the Neolithic period. It was a centre of the cult of Aphrodite. Aphrodite's legendary birthplace was on this island, where her temple was erected by the Myceneans in the 12th century B.C. The remains of villas, palaces, theatres, fortresses and tombs mean that the site is of exceptional architectural and historic value."

Depart the pier for a scenic drive through the Phassouri citrus groves and vineyards en route the beautiful city of Paphos. Stop for photos at the Rock of Aphrodite, an interesting geological formation known as Aphrodite’s mythical birthplace.

Paphos, inhabited since Neolithic times, was the capital of Cyprus during the Hellenistic and Roman periods. This site is home to the famous Dionysus mosaics, renowned throughout the Mediterranean. You’ll visit the House of Dionysus to see these marvelous mosaics, which were unearthed during the excavation of a Roman nobleman's villa. The extensive complex of buildings is adorned with beautiful mosaic floors, mostly depicting scenes from Greek mythology with a few Roman legends and characters.

Following your visit, you will have some free time for shopping at Limanaki (the old harbor) before returning to the pier.
