Step back in time to experience traditional Greek life as it once was.
Liotrivi is a completely restored historic mansion that was once the family home of the famous Greek poet Giannis Ritsos. Subsequently, it became a traditional olive oil production workshop and functioned in that capacity until 1967. Today, it is a fabulous agri-tourism facility that still produces olive oil, wine, bread, and other local specialties. Visitors can experience rural Greek culture as it was more than 100 years ago.
Your visit starts from the olive oil producing facility, which houses fully functional equipment from almost a century ago that is still used today. On the patio of the mansion, you will sample some of the local varietals as your guide describes the various stages of traditional wine production.
From the terrace, take in the incredible views of the surrounding countryside.
Enjoy a fabulous buffet snack of traditional Greek products, including stone-baked bread, feta cheese, olives, marmalades and, of course, locally produced wine straight from the mansion's own barrels.
