From Marbella, we will head Cadiz province, where we will visit the Línea de la Concepción, the city that borders Gibraltar.
Once across the border, leave the coach and board a minibus, the ideal way to admire the enchanting views, as described by audio guide that will provide information for the remainder of your time in Gibraltar.
Continue to Catalan Bay, or La Caleta, a traditional fishing village that owes its name to the landing of the troops who arrived from Catalonia during the War of the Spanish Succession in the 18th century.
Stop for photos at Europa Point, the most southern point of Gibraltar. On a clear day, you can see the North African mainland just 14 miles away.
Ascend by road to the Upper Rock to admire St. Michael's Cave. These natural caves were used as a refuge by Neolithic inhabitants of the Rock and provide a captivating scene created by stalagmite and stalactite formations.
A trip to the Rock would not be complete without visiting the real stars of this land, the light-fingered Barbary apes. These are the only primates living in the wild in all of Europe and you will see these tailless monkeys roaming freely. These cheeky monkeys will take anything they can get their hands on, so keep your possessions close and do not feed or touch these wild animals.
Before returning to Marbella, enjoy approximately 2 hours of time on your own to soak up the typical English atmosphere along Main Street, shop in one of the many boutiques or dine in a quaint cafe.
Please note: You must bring your passport with you on the tour. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Participants must negotiate stairs and/or uneven surfaces and is therefore not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. Due to transportation constraints, scooters, wheelchairs and walkers cannot be accommodated on tour. Lunch is not included. You will have time to purchase lunch at your own expense during the tour.
