Ride along the fabulously scenic Sorrentine Peninsula to the enchanting city of Sorrento. You will disembark the coach and make good use of some free time available exploring the heart of the town. It is rich in typical local produce, interesting sites of cultural importance, and fashionable shops.
Enjoy a lunch of local specialties; then, from Sorrento, your coach will follow the renowned Amalfi coastal road. Take in the panoramic vistas including the view over Positano as you make your way to Amalfi village. You will hear about the history of this lovely town -- one of the oldest maritime republics of Italy -- and have some free time for shopping, strolling in the harbor area, or visiting the imposing local cathedral.
After the visit to Amalfi, enjoy a motor launch ride to another village of the Amalfi Coast, where you will reboard your bus.
Time permitting, you can visit the craft center situated at the bottom of Mount Vesuvius to see a cameo-making demonstration .
Please note: Expect traffic delays. Due to the one-way route for tour coaches driving the coastal road, guests will be asked to switch sides half way along the route to allow all guests to view the coastal scenery; your cooperation is appreciated. If parking in Amalfi is not available, a stop on the Amalfi Coast at Maiori or Vietri Sul Mare will be substituted.
