Take a panoramic drive along the palm-lined Promenade des Anglais, named for the town of English Colony, which financed Nice's most important street.
Then, you'll pass through the main squares -- Garibaldi and Massena -- and head uphill to the residential area of Cimiez. Stop here to snap some terrific pictures of the city and the bay.
Leave your motor coach and walk through the Old Town on a guided tour. You'll be walking through what is essentially a living museum -- an extensive area of tall, old buildings in faded pastel colors and open squares that contains some of Nice's most important historical monuments.
Reach the Cours Saleya and stop to smell the roses (perhaps not literally) at its famous flower market.
Afterwards, you'll have some free time to explore on your own.
