Discover some of the charming medieval villages that dot Croatia’s Istrian peninsula beginning with a drive through the lush Mediterranean landscape to the town of Hum. With a population of 30, Hum claims to be the smallest town in the world. Enjoy a guided walking tour of this settlement, strolling down cobbled streets passing the historic sites.
From here, drive to Buzet, the truffle capital of Istria, for a walking tour and tasting presentation at the Aura Distillery, sampling locally produced brandies, jams and other products made from wild herbs and fruits.
Continue to the medieval town of Motovun, where a shuttle bus will bring you up to Old Town, situated on a hill on the site of an ancient city for a walking tour. The original city walls still stand and afford incredible views across Istria.
After your walking tour, have lunch in local restaurant before your return drive to the pier.
Please note: Wear comfortable walking shoes and clothes. Participants must negotiate stairs and/or uneven surfaces and is therefore not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations.
