Depart from the pier and transfer to the lovely Vipava Valley. A panoramic drive will introduce you to the region, known for its fruit orchards and substantial wine production
Visit the small village of Goce. Your destination here is Zemono Manor, situated on a hill overlooking the valley. The house was built in 1683 in the tradition of the Palladian villas surrounding Venice. It was used as a hunting lodge or summerhouse and is ornately decorated with centuries-old frescoes. One of its regular visitors was Venice's most famous seducer, Giacomo Casanova. Today, an entirely different seduction awaits -- delicious Slovenian flavors that perfectly showcase this tiny country's marvelous culinary heritage, along with an intriguing fusion of local lore and contemporary presentation that will take you on a journey through food, wine and tradition. A renowned chef will host the event and present Slovenian recipes with magnificent contemporary twists. Your meal will be exquisitely paired with a selection of local wines. This epicurian experience will take place in the Zemono Manor's stylish summer cellar -- an exclusive restaurant that has outlasted generations. After lunch, you will return to Piran.
