Sarzana is located in the province of La Spezia on the border between Liguria and Tuscany: from the first it took the colors, from the second the somewhat sophisticated.
Unlike the stereotype of the postcard Ligurian village perched on the heights, however, Sarzana rises in the plain of the Val di Magra and its territory therefore stretches placidly from the sea to the hills. Here you are happy to get lost in the alleyways among luxury boutiques, bookstores, restaurants, excellent patisseries, but above all many antique shops. After all, Sarzana is a multi-layered town: the testimonies of the past blend in harmony and the medieval vestiges survive alongside the beautiful Renaissance and nineteenth-century palaces.
Neat, but not too snobbish; welcoming but not made of plastic, Sarzana is therefore the ideal village for a romantic dinner, but also for an aperitif with friends or to take the children for a walk safely. In short: however you see it, it is a place not to be missed: so let's try to understand what makes it so special.
