Travel across the beautiful Istrian peninsula, as you visit 2 family wineries and enjoy delicious local wines.
Enjoy a scenic drive through a chain of small picturesque villages to Kukurini, a charming rural town that is home to your first hosts of the day – the Bacac family and their winery. Take a tour of the winery, and see how the wines are made, before the owner invites you to join him for a tasting of some of his best wines. Choose 3 wines from a broad selection to tempt your taste buds, accompanied by homemade bread and cheese.
Bidding Kukurini farewell, it’s time to take a short drive through the Istrian countryside to the village of Vodnjan and the wine cellar of the Babos family one of Croatia's newer and best-known wine producers. Spend time with some of the family and sample some of their favourite wines, accompanied by smoked ham, cheese, olives and breads.
Please note: Walking is over mostly flat, paved ground with some steps and cobblestones. Flat, comfortable shoes are recommended. Local currency is advised should you wish to make purchases at the wineries.
