The sky of La Palma is one of the clearest in the northern hemisphere. Due to its position near the equator, the altitude of its mountains, the clarity of the sky and the low probability of cloud cover above a certain altitude, astronomers have concluded that La Palma is one of the best viewing points for observing the universe.
Set off into the mountains with an astronomer who knows the sky of La Palma at night to an observation point chosen based on the weather conditions of the day. From your viewing site and with the help of a laser pointer, they will explain what to look for with the naked eye. Through the lens of a powerful amateur telescope, you can see the most visible celestial bodies up close.
Following your star viewing, enjoy a hot chocolate and have a night photo taken with the stars that will be shared digitally with you before you return to the pier.
Please note: There are no restroom facilities available during the tour. Dress in layers and wear comfortable walking shoes. After sunset, the temperature can drop considerably,
bring a jacket or sweater. The observation lasts between 60 and 90 minutes. Tour operates weather permitting and can be cancelled on short notice depending visibility and weather conditions.
