Trogir, tightly packed onto a small island, is nicknamed the Stone Beauty. Its streets are narrow cobblestone alleys that truly give a feel for how life might have been in medieval times.
Visit the central attraction -- the 13th-century Cathedral of St Lawrence. Possibly the finest example of sacral architecture in Croatia, its unusual construction features three naves and three semicircular apses. It dominates the whole town. The main portal is world famous, elaborately carved by the local master, Radovan, in the 13th century. You'll see many other fine buildings along the way, including the Town Hall, with its great clock, and Cipiko Palace.
Enjoy some free time to explore the maze of picturesque streets, shop or purchase a coffee at a local café (at your own expense) before returning to the ship.
Please note: Tour requires two hours of walking. Terrain includes uneven surfaces, inclines, and some steps. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Modest attire is required; knees, shoulders and midriffs must be covered. Shorts and short skirts are not allowed. Use of an audio headset (included) will enhance your tour experience.
