Lined with palm trees and homes painted in the pastel shades of Provence, Bandol is a quintessential French Riverian town.
After a short introduction to this delightful village with your guide, set off for approximately 2 hours to explore on your own. Stroll along the harbor and enjoy views of the traditional fishing boats or wander through the winding cobblestone streets. Discover the numerous arts and crafts workshops, quaint café’s and fashion boutiques.
The village has a typical Provençal market that awakens the senses with its colors and scents. There is also a larger weekly market, every Wednesday morning. Here, you can discover many exhibitors selling fruits, vegetables, seafood, delicatessen, local wines, garlic, olive oil, honey, cheese as well as textiles, accessories and flowers. Make the most of your free time sipping a coffee at one of the cafés or explore the market for some souvenirs.
Please note: Depending on the season and weather conditions, the content and number of stalls may vary. Bring local currency, as many vendors do not accept credit cards or US dollars. Wear comfortable walking shoes, sunglasses and sunscreen. Bring a hat.
