Depart from the port you will proceed to Bochali the ramparts of the old Venetian Fortress above Bochali, which in turn overlooks Zakynthos town. The Church of St. Mavra, located in the village of Maherado, was built during the 14th century and is considered one of the most important and famous churches of the island. The church houses a remarkable collection of fine icons and frescoes painted by famous Greek artists.The deepest point in the Mediterranean lies just off the dramatic cliffs at Kampi. During your visit enjoy a Greek Meze with a glass of ouzo while two dancers perform. Your scenic drive back to the port will pass by the western coast.
