Behold the breathtaking beauty of Zakynthos while cruising to the island’s northern tip and pausing to swim in the turquoise sea. A panoramic drive that follows the coast will introduce you to the natural charms of Zakynthos, which will be even more apparent during the cruise. Small coves dot the rocky shoreline, lush vegetation blankets the hills, and the waters look impossibly blue, especially at the aptly named Blue Caves. As you pass these photogenic grottoes, be sure to notice how the sunlight creates unusual patterns on their interiors. It’s a mesmerizing sight.
Shipwreck Cove, which became known as Smuggler’s Cove after a freighter that was supposedly carrying contraband ran aground there. With its sheer limestone cliffs, crystal-clear water and pristine beach, the cove is so picture-perfect that it is the most photographed place on Zakynthos. A stop for a refreshing swim in the Ionian Sea will just as inspiring.
Please note: Boats utilized for this tour are Ferry style vessels with seats inside and a couple of seats on the outside, they are NOT panoramic boats or catamarans. Guests can spend most of the time inside the boat as outside seats and spaces are limited. It is strictly PROHIBITED to go to the Smugglers Cove Beach due to safety reasons, rock and land slide happen in the past making the Authorities to forbid anyone approach to the Beach. You will have opportunity to see this incredible place by boat only. The swimming will be conducted in another cove with no access to any beach close by, you will have to jump from the boat and return via ladder.
Travel time to the tour boat approximately 1 hour each way.
