Visit the last remaining habitat of pelicans and the largest bird reservation in Europe at Skadar Lake -- one of the few sweetwater swamps still flourishing in the Mediterranean.
A two-hour boat trip on the lake will introduce you to one of the great natural and historical attractions of Montenegro, also the largest lake in the Balkans. Skadarsko Jezero, as it is known in the Montenegrin language, is set within the National Park of the same name and boasts 264 species of bird, 48 species of fish and 30 submarine springs. Interestingly, these springs are called oka (eyes) by the locals.
You'll take in the many sights as you cruise on the lake -- islands, bays and picturesque surroundings.
Lunch will be served at a charming restaurant near the Stari Most (Old Bridge).
Please note: The number of birds at the lake varies seasonally.
