Journey through the Danish countryside to the small city of Ebeltoft. Your route takes you past the upscale neighborhood of Risskov, the green areas of Djursland and Mols Bjerge National Park.
Set out on a guided walk through the narrow-cobbled streets of Ebeltoft filled with adorable timbered houses, before you arrive at the Frigate Jylland.
The wooden frigate Jylland is one of the longest and most significant historic wooden ships in the world. Built in 1857, it was both the first and last warship in the Danish Navy to feature an originally in-built steam-driven engine and sails — a cutting-edge hybrid of its time, superior in speed due to its long and slender hull.
See the beautiful original craftsmanship and discover how 21st-century carpenters are working tirelessly to preserve this historic ship. Learn about the difficult life faced by seamen of the time, the frigate's involvement in the Battle of Heligoland and other secrets and legends of the frigate.
After your visit, return to Århus and the pier via the countryside.
Please note: Wear comfortable walking shoes. Tour requires walking on cobblestones and other uneven surfaces. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. Minimum age is 10 years.
