Travel west to the quaint town of Ardmore. Here you will be met by Andrew -- a forager by trade. Andrew supplies wild food to the Cliff House Hotel -- an idyllic five-star hotel set on the side of a cliff.
Set off on foot with Andrew, who began foraging 25 years ago, along the cliff path that creates the peaceful backdrop to your foraging experience. As you walk, he will point out the flora and fauna and discuss indigenous plants of the area. He may even pluck a few ingredients for your lunch.
Andrew is also a longstanding member of the Irish Whale & Dolphin Society, so he may be able to point out a cetacean in the waters below you.
After your walk, return to the Cliff House Hotel for a delicious two-course lunch. The hotel holds an unrivaled reputation for precision and old-world service. The building clings to the cliff on the south side of Ardmore Bay, where there has long been a fishing village and a Christian settlement that pre-dates St Patrick. Take in the spectacular views of the ocean while enjoying your meal.
This afternoon, you will have free time to explore the beautiful village of Ardmore. Take a walk along the stunning beach and marvel the Round Tower or St Declan's oratory. Mix with the locals in the pub if you wish, or explore an art gallery at your leisure.
Enjoy the relaxing drive back to the ship.
