Take a short transfer from the port to the picturesque Sømna area. The rural Sømna Museum boasts 12 restored buildings from the 19th and early 20th centuries. Explore the museum for an insight into the lives of "fisher-farmers" -- both men and women -- and a glimpse of the tools and artifacts that they used in their work.
You can watch a demonstration of baking traditional bread and taste local treats. Live folk music creates a charming atmosphere.
Adjacent to the museum is the beautiful cruciform Vik Church, built in 1876. Step inside to see this warm, inviting place of worship with pink walls.
Please note: Wear comfortable walking shoes. Dress warmly in layers with a windproof and waterproof outer layer; bring a warm hat, gloves and a scarf. The tour requires around 1.5 hours of walking and standing. Terrain includes even and uneven surfaces, cobblestones, inclines, gravel, grass, and steps.
