A Tasting of Exceptional Wines: Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte
Exercise your taste buds today as you try some of the world's finest wines. You're invited to attend a special, confidential wine-tasting session at the Pessac-Léognan-classified Château Smith Haut Lafitte estate.
The estate itself dates back to the Crusades, and its terroir is a superb gravel underlay in a single block. Smith Haut Lafitte has become a leading light among exceptional Bordeaux wines. In addition to restoring the Château's 16th-century tower, renovating the underground silos, building their own cooperage, and introducing organic methods such as horse-drawn plowing and homemade compost, the owners have brought the estate up to the very highest level in a region where superlatives are met and exceeded on a daily basis.
After visiting the splendid estate, follow your guide to the tasting room where you will sample some of these exceptional wines from the estate. During your visit you will be granted a special access to the owners' private secret cellars where you will see many wonderful treasures of wines! This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime occasion.
