Meet your experienced local cycle guide at the Parade and gear up with a bicycle and helmet. Set off on a leisurely bike ride through Cowes, passing along the high street. You'll pause to watch the chain ferry operating -- an unusual and interesting craft -- and make your way to East Cowes. Admire the views back towards West Cowes from the seafront, where you'll be able to identify landmarks such as the Royal Yacht Squadron.
St Mildred's Church, designed by Prince Albert and frequented by Queen Victoria when she vacationed on the Isle of Wight, offers charming architecture and excellent views.
Continue to Newport via picturesque country lanes and cycle paths, admiring the stunning rural views of the Medina Valley. Egypt Point is the island's northernmost and it boasts delightful vistas across the Solent. The quaint streets of Cowes lead you back to the Parade and the tender pier.
Please note: You will bike approximately 15 miles. Although it is a leisurely route there are a couple of hills to negotiate. Please realistically assess your physical fitness and ability prior to booking.
