A walking tour introduces you to the coastal town of Cowes, focusing on its maritime heritage.
One of the oldest and most prestigious yacht clubs in the UK is the Royal London Yacht Club. This private members-only club is responsible for organizing Cowes Week -- one of the largest regattas to take place on the Solent each year. You will step inside here to be welcomed by the Club Officer. Admire the spectacular views over the Solent (the strait between Wight and the mainland) as you enjoy a delicious afternoon tea service. Included is a selection of sandwiches from the chef's own baked breads, local cheeses and meats, warm canapés, scones and pastries with tea or coffee. This outing is a marvelous salute to the past and a glimpse of the pampered life led by club members.
