Enjoy an afternoon visiting Felbrigg Hall, a 17th-century English country house near the village of Felbrigg in Norfolk. Part of a National Trust property, the unaltered 17th-century house is noted for its Jacobean architecture and fine Georgian interior.
A welcoming home, Felbrigg is a place of many contrasts and fully reveals itself quite slowly. The estate is a place of sanctuary and tranquility. The size of its parkland belies the intimacy of the house. Step inside to discover the richness of Felbrigg's many hidden treasures. Cherished for its homey atmosphere and charm, the house reflects the personal stories of four families and their warmth and fondness for the estate. Felbrigg is mostly intact, except for a room blown up during a fireworks experiment in the 18th century.
Outside, the walled garden and orchard are dominated by a working dovecote. Doves fly and chickens scratch around the garden, adding to the relaxing rural atmosphere -- a constant source of inspiration and delight.
Please note: Wear comfortable walking shoes.
