Cross the Firth of Clyde by ferry from Dunoon to Gourock, traveling to Glasgow by coach.
On a panoramic drive through Glasgow, discover how shipbuilding contributed massively to the growth of this charming city. Explore the grand downtown area, including George Square with its imposing series of statues of Glasgow's great and good.
See the impressive Gothic architecture of Glasgow Cathedral, the city's oldest house (1471), and the entrance to the Necropolis -- a prominent cemetery.
In the leafy neighborhood of Kelvingrove, take in the genteel homes of the West End. View historical buildings at the old university and hear of its great alumni. Keep an eye out for the impressive, crested, wrought iron gates that give way to the main campus.
Back in the heart of the city, you will have approximately 90 minutes of free time to look around and purchase lunch (at your own expense) before the transfer back to Holy Loch.
Please note: This tour consists of sightseeing from the coach only. No entrance fees are included, and some attractions may be seen from a distance. There are photo stops at George Square, Glasgow Cathedral and the University of Glasgow, time and traffic conditions permitting. Lunch is not included. You will have time to purchase lunch at your own expense during your free time.
