Enjoy this half day tour with amazing views over Stryn valley and discover the secrets of Jostedal glacier in the National Park Center.
You’ll start your visit from Loen, situated in the Nordfjord, which is an arm of the larger Sognefjorden – the longest fjord in Norway.
Your pleasant drive will pass by the village of Stryn, renowned for its stunning natural beauty, characterized by majestic mountains, deep fjords, and lush valleys. The landscape offers numerous outdoor recreational opportunities such as hiking, skiing, glacier walking, and fishing.
Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to make a photo stop at the beginning of the National touristic road Gamle Strynefjellvegen to capture the magnificent views over the whole valley.
One of the prominent features of Stryn region is the Jostedalsbreen glacier, which is the largest glacier in continental Europe. The glacier covers a significant portion of the Jostedalsbreen National Park. Before heading back to the ship, you’ll visit the National Park Center, focused on the natural values, cultural heritage and people around the glacier.
Please note: It is recommended that you dress in layered clothing and wear comfortable walking shoes. Wheelchairs need to be standard size and collapsible; no electric wheelchairs/scooters are permitted. Guests must be able to board and disembark the motorcoach on their own. A comfort stop is available at the Jostedalsbreen National Park Centre. Tour timings are approximate and subject to modifications. Locations may be visited in a different order.
