Today you’ll board your coach and leave Le Palais – Belle Ile’s main city – for a tour of the wild coast.
Along the way, you’ll see Port Coton’s needles, which are pyramids of rocks made worm shaped by the ocean. On stormy days, foam may fly about like cotton balls.
Next, make your way to the Pointe des Poulains, the Northern island cap, loved by the artist Sarah Bernhardt. Then you’ll have a chance to look at Kervilahouen, a peaceful inland village where the impressionist painter Claude Monet painted the same stretch of nearly wild coast 36 times in all kinds of weather.
Then you will reach Sauzon, a picturesque harbor positioned over the entrance of a deep estuary, known for its picturesque harbor, charming streets, and colored facades.
Finally, reach the Eden Garden next to Sauzon. Brittany, homeland of many explorers, was the starting point of the most prestigious expeditions around the world, and is now an ideal land for gardens as hundreds of varieties have been acclimatized since the 18th century. Michel Damblant, the owner of Eden Garden, will guide you, narrating as you discover his garden the and fantastic adventures of the most famous "plant explorers" of Brittany.
After your visit, drive back to Le Palais and walk back to pier.
