Immerse yourself in two of Scotland’s most iconic traditions—whisky and bagpipes—during this unique cultural experience in Edinburgh’s historic Port of Leith. Begin at the stunning 18th-century Vaults, home of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society, where a top Whisky Ambassador will guide you through a curated tasting of three exceptional single malts. Learn about Scotland’s whisky heritage and savor the distinctive flavors that make this spirit world-famous.
Next, enjoy a fun and interactive Bagpipe Workshop with Louise Marshall, Piper to the Lord Provost of Edinburgh and celebrated performer at global events. Using sterilized practice chanters, you’ll learn the basics of Scotland’s national instrument, including scales, breathing techniques, and embellishments. Louise will share stories from her illustrious career and give a full demonstration of the pipes. Scottish attire is available for those who want to embrace the spirit of the Highlands!
At the end of the workshop, receive a small Scottish gift from Louise and take the opportunity to purchase whisky gifts before returning to your ship. This experience promises music, flavor, and plenty of laughter.
Please Note: This tour lasts approximately 2¾ hours and involves minimal walking on paved surfaces indoors. Guests must be over 18 years old to participate in the whisky tasting. Wheelchair users are welcome but should be accompanied, as guides cannot provide assistance during the tour. Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes are recommended.
