Langjökull Glacier, not far from Reykjavík, draws visitors in search of fantastic aerial sightseeing and a world of icy terrain.

Your helicopter takes off from Reykjavík, showcasing a view of the nearby highlands.

Your flightseeing destination is Thorisjokull Glacier -- a tip or offshoot of Langjokull, Iceland's second-largest glacier. You will land on the ice and step off the helicopter to stand on the glacier's surface.

The route to or from the glacier offers a bird's-eye view of the place where two tectonic plates meet, as you fly over Thingvellir National Park. You can see the rift between the plates.

Other highlights include views of Skjaldbreidur Volcano, Esja and the city of Reykjavik.

Please note: Your flight departs from Reykjavík's domestic airport, located in the heart of the city. Participants must be able to walk unassisted up 5-10 steps into the aircraft. Boarding the helicopter may present difficulties for guests with mobility limitations. Dress warmly in layers for the local weather conditions; wear sturdy, non-skid shoes. Tour operates weather permitting. Views are weather permitting. The operator reserves the right to cancel or alter the tour in the event of unsuitable conditions.
