Put on your walking shoes and set off on a guided walking tour towards the capital of Bornholm, Rønne.

Walk through the industrial and new area of the harbor where you will learn about the significant role this harbor has in the daily life of the city and island.

Continue through the small narrow streets of Rønne and hear about the city’s liberation after World War II which was not on May 5, 1945 like the rest of Denmark, but rather in April 1946 as the Germans refused to surrender to the Russians. Visit Hjorts Famrik 50 year old ceramic factory, where production still uses the original local created principles of making stoneware. Gain insight in the process of making stoneware and enjoy the permanent exhibition where you can see the changing designs over time and a contemporary show pieces.

Please note: Please realistically assess your physical fitness and ability prior to booking, as the walk is uphill, over cobblestones with many steps. Total walking is approximately 3 miles. Guests who wish to stay in town to shop or explore independently are welcome to do so, but must make their own way back to the ship.
