From Svolvær you will drive to Henningsvær, a fishing village built across numerous little islands in a style highly characteristic of Lofoten. Artists, painters and sculptors have long been attracted to this area due to its colorful setting and extraordinary light conditions.

Visit Lofoten House. This fine gallery's first floor is divided into two sections -- one exhibiting watercolors by Lars Lerin and the other exhibiting pictures and ceramic works by Her Majesty Queen Sonja.

Walk for a few minutes to the contemporary art gallery in Lofoten, set in an old factory. The Kaviar Factory's façade sign is a permanent installation piece by German artist Michael Sailstorfer. The gallery is an international venue for contemporary art, presenting visiting exhibitions.

Don't miss the Magic Ice Bar -- gateway to an adventure both fantastic and far removed from everyday life. A virtual visit to the Arctic, the interior is constructed of crystal-clear ice. Even the glasses at the bar are made of ice. The exhibition consists of dramatically-lit sculptures and installations with colorful LED lighting to further enhance the ice experience. The music and the glow of candlelight create uniquely magical atmosphere, stimulating the senses of sight, sound and touch.

Please note: Wear comfortable walking shoes.
