The excursion commences from the colorful little town of Tobermory.
Heading south, you'll skirt the east coast of the isle for breathtaking views across the Sound of Mull to the Morvern Peninsula. Mull is famous for its rugged beauty and unspoiled landscapes, with which you will become acquainted on your journey.
Duart Castle, perched on a rocky promontory known as Dubh Ard (meaning black point), dominates the surrounding area. Proudly guarding the island, it overlooks the sea from its dramatic position. The castle is full of history and stories of the clans who have held it, which you'll learn more on a guided tour. Discover the dark and dismal dungeons before climbing the ancient, worn steps to the battlements. Take in the views as far as Ben Nevis in the north and the Isle of Jura in the south.
Departing Duart Castle, you'll return to the ship at Tobermory via the same coastal route.
Please note: Wear comfortable walking shoes.
