Departure from pier and drive to Chateau de La Bourbansais à Pleugueneuc.
Built on Gallo-roman remains in the late 16th century, the Château de la Bourbansais, and its French-style gardens inspired by the French landscape designer Le Nôtre have been heritage-lisred since 1959. The inside of the castle is an authentic 15th to 18th century’s house, composed of period furniture and you can visit the hall, the small living room, the big room, the dining room…a testimony of the classical centuries way of life!
Then you will follow the local guide to discover the French-style gardens & 18th century statues, but above you will enjoy a special historical (not botanical) visit of the 17th vegetable garden: inspired by “the potager du roi” of Versailles, this garden will relate the history of plants, vegetable and gardens, with 17th potion & remedy recipes.
After the visit, drive back to pier in Saint Malo.
