Embark on a 30-minute ride to the heavenly Cuatro Cuatros—an exclusive mountain residential estate nestled among Ensenada’s famous vineyards. The breathtaking landscapes surround a unique tasting room housed in the wheelhouse of an antique, repurposed tugboat.
Become a Connoisseur: Begin with a brief history lesson as your knowledgeable instructor guides you through a tasting adventure. Savor two different types of Mezcal and two different types of Tequila, comparing their subtle nuances to find your favorite flavor. Discover how to pair these spirits with Mexican elements like cocoa, citrus, Chapulín (yes, crickets), salt, worm salt, and marinated baked Chapulines with chilies.
Mezcal Tasting: Learn about Mezcal, distilled from the Maguey Agave. Its distinct smoky flavor is often sipped straight or with salt and fruit. Sample two types of Mezcal.
Tequila Tasting: Tequila, produced from the exotic Blue Agave, is Mexico’s national drink with a rich cultural history. While its origins date back to the mid-16th century, Tequila gained widespread popularity after the Mexican Revolution. By law, Tequila must contain at least 51% Agave, but premium Tequila is 100% Agave. Taste two types of Tequila.
Next, its Margarita Time! Step into a speakeasy bar and savor a delicious margarita made with real Tequila!
Free Time: Indulge in gourmet tacos, and other renowned Mexican classics that transport you across various regions. Browse and shop on-site for special Tequilas and Mezcals before returning to your ship. (Gift shop items are not included and are additional)
