Next, travel further along the coast to the Santa Ynez Valley, the area’s wine producing region. Nestled in the hills of Los Olivos, the Saarloos family farm and vineyard is a family-owned farming operation where they farm and make their own wines. A "ground to glass" winery, it offers an exquisite collection of fine quality wines, each with a fascinating family history. With under 400 cases in total, the vineyard produces some truly rare varietals in batches as small as 40 cases. Pairings are unexpectedly sweet, with specialty cupcakes from Enjoy Cupcakes, one of the best bakeries Santa Barbara has to offer.
After the wine tasting, transfer to Corzaon Coina for lunch. Beloved by locals, Chef Ramon Velsquez concocts inventive Mexican food inspired by cuisine from Guadalajara, Oaxaca, and Baja. Focusing on seasonal ingredients like farm-to-market vegetables and sustainable fish and meats, every dish is artfully prepared and tantalizingly tasty. You will have a chance to dine on street-style tacos plus shared appetizers.
After lunch, it is a brief return back to pier.
