Costa Rica's warm waters are home to one of the cleanest marine habitats in the world with a wealth of healthy fauna. This includes gorgeous, playful dolphins, and the best place to observe these magnificent mammals is in the waters off the Osa Peninsula.
Climb aboard a boat and head for a place noted by National Geographic as "the most biologically-intense area on earth." Large groups of dolphins, sea turtles and manta rays swim here in clear blue tropical waters, often putting on an amazing show. Other possible sightings can include six different turtle species, large schools of tuna, and the occasional marlin or sailfish.
As you cruise about the bay, learn about the biology and behavior of the wildlife you see. Questions? Your naturalist guide has the answers.
Weather permitting, you will have free time to swim in the serene waters of Punta Encanto (Enchanted Point).
Please note: Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. syao Bring insect repellent. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed.
