Here's an adventure the whole family can enjoy: floating through the jungle down the Copalita River with your guide in a raft. This excursion will give you unique perspective on the region’s verdant beauty as you create moments you won’t forget.
To experience the heart and soul of Huatulco and its richly beautiful natural environments, you'll travel by van approximately 30 minutes from the pier to the rafting base camp. Professional guides will provide a safety briefing and instructions prior to heading out.
The Copalita River is considered Category I rapids, so it is a relaxed and enjoyable ride downriver and offers plenty of time to enjoy the spectacular sights and sounds of the river valley, but exciting enough to keep you on your toes. You'll float through the foothills of the Sierra Madre Mountains, past lush tropical vegetation on the way to Bocana Beach.
Enjoy free time to relax on the beach and explore the area before returning by van to the pier.
Please note: Depending on sea conditions, it could be necessary to walk up to a half-mile on rough terrain or sand from the pull-out point to the vehicle for the transfer back to the port. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, a cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Due to the active nature of the tour, it is not suitable for pregnant women and guests with back/neck injuries. Tour operates weather permitting. Minimum age is 12 years.
