Enjoy the beautiful 90-minute journey into the Sierra Madre Mountains of Chiapas to discover some of the world's finest coffees. This breathtaking journey of winding roads unveils panoramic vistas of mist-shrouded peaks, dense cloud forests, and indigenous villages along the way.
The Argovia Estate coffee plantation, founded in 1180, is a modern-day ecological example to its contemporaries. With reforestation projects for endemic species, the plantation's objective is to produce the highest-quality coffee using principles and techniques that preserve the ecosystem. In turn, this care and purpose is designed to enhance the characteristics of the coffee beans.
Explore, on foot, the beautiful estate and the spectacular landscapes that make up this fantastic plantation. You'll tour the historic original house and visit the coffee production plant. Examine the flora and fauna of the plantation as a broad variety of flowers, ornamental tropical plants, and hardwood trees are also grown here.
Relax at the estate over a delicious buffet lunch of freshly prepared Mexican dishes, and end your day out with perhaps the freshest cup of coffee you've ever had.
Please note: Wear comfortable walking shoes. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable/reef-safe sunscreen. Bring bottled water.
