Visit a coffee plantation located on the rich volcanic soils near the Pacaya Volcano, and learn about the processes that bring the bean from the plantation to your cup.
Air-conditioned transportation takes you on a 90-minute panoramic drive through lowland pastures, sugar cane plantations and cattle farms, and past impressive volcanoes. At the coffee plantation, the staff escort you on a 20-minute walk through the coffee fields to the processing plant.
Watch an informative video about processing coffee and enjoy your very own cup of fine Guatemalan java accompanied by some typical Guatemalan candy. This is a chance to learn about the machinery and facilities used to produce some of the finest coffees in the world. The owners of the plantation may be present to share with you their experiences and answer your questions about their coffee.
There's time for shopping among a selection of souvenirs and colorful local handicrafts before you head back to the pier.
