Today’s excursion will take your breath away, as you board a high-tech 50-foot sailing catamaran (or similar), for a magnificent tour of Santa Maria Cove and beyond.
Start your adventure by heading to famed Lover's Beach, a secluded paradise with an idyllic stretch of golden sand. You’ll pass the sea lion colony as you head into Land’s End, where rugged rock formations meet the azure waters of the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez. This is the perfect spot to take some photos.
From Land's End, you'll cut across the bay and head east down the coast toward Santa Maria Cove. The coastline is pristine and sparsely populated, punctuated by rocky coves and prominent headlands. Anchoring in the protected, palm-studded, tropical cove, there will be a snorkeling class upon request for those wishing to participate, and all guests will be outfitted with snorkel gear and flotation vests. You will have approximately one hour to snorkel the tranquil waters of this lovely cove where the reefs are teeming with colorful tropical fish.
After your swim, enjoy a soda, beer or Mexican cocktail. There is an open bar policy throughout the trip, but no alcoholic beverages are served before the snorkel portion of the tour.
On the return trip, relax and enjoy the spectacular scenery.
Please note: Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, hat, and reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen (no other kind of sunscreen is allowed in the water). To avoid sunburn, bring light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Shade is limited; please dress accordingly. Guests must navigate a ladder into the water, as snorkeling is from the boat. The boat used will be determined by the tour operator based on the conditions of the day. Minimum age to participate is 8 years. Maximum age is 75 years. Pregnant women or guests with heart conditions are not allowed to participate.
