Board an air-conditioned motorcoach and travel through breathtaking scenery on a 90-minute journey to Quebrada Valencia. This beautiful nature reserve is nestled within the Caribbean rainforest and is home to a majestic series of waterfalls.
Upon arrival, meet your experienced guide, who will escort you on a walking eco-tour, uncovering the area's amazing flora and fauna and inviting you to enjoy the tranquil surroundings.
As you walk through the lush forest, you'll encounter an impressive cascade of crystalline waterfalls and pools set among rocks and crags -- a splendid natural spectacle. The waterfall descends from the Sierra Nevada range of Colombia -- the tallest coastal mountain range in the world. The falls create a series of cooling natural pools that entice you in for a refreshing swim. Surrounded by exotic vegetation and fruit plantations such as cacao and plantain, the area is as dramatic as it is beautiful.
Rejuvenated and relaxed, enjoy a picturesque drive back to the port in Santa Maria.
Please note: Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Bring aqua shoes. Shade is limited; bring sunglasses and bottled water. Travel time to Quebrada is 90 minutes each way. Tour requires walking for more than an hour. Terrain includes even and uneven surfaces, inclines, gravel, grass, and steps. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations.
