Colombia is home to some of the most diverse music and dance in the world, and this cultural event showcases some of the different musical styles with a focus on Vallenato, which involves vocals, accordions, drums and dance.
A drive along the seafront and a short walk to Lovers Park bring you to an air-conditioned venue. Watch a live Vallenato show presented by The Batey All-Stars. After the show, there's a brief explanation of the music and instruments used to create Vallenato and other Latin musical styles. Learn some of the dance steps and try out the different musical instruments.
Enjoy a refreshment of traditional Caribbean food -- fried green banana pancakes with a savory topping and a fresh tropical fruit cocktail.
Take a short, guided walk through the historic and colorful city streets of Santa Marta. You will visit the Gold Museum, which houses an impressive exhibition of gold and other artifacts from pre-Columbian indigenous cultures.
Board the shuttle service for the five-minute drive back to the pier.
Please note: Wear comfortable walking shoes.
