Your adventure begins as you glide across Bora Bora's gorgeous lagoon aboard a covered lagoon cruise boat.
Once you're past famous Motu Tapu, the captain will drop anchor on a shallow sandbank -- a favorite haunt of several lithe gray stingrays. With your capable guide's assistance, you will be able to touch these creatures as they swim an effortless ballet around you.
Harmless black-tip sharks are often seen in the lagoon, and there is a good chance of an encounter.
Next, explore the unspoiled coral gardens by the barrier reef, where ideal conditions encourage maximum coral growth. Don a mask and snorkel and enter water that is four to five feet deep. Relax and swim amid the colorful marine life here. Underwater sightings include butterfly fish, groupers and hundreds of other rainbow-colored species.
Please note:
Terrain includes steps. Wear aqua shoes. Participants should be accustomed to wearing snorkel equipment and coping with occasional currents. While snorkel equipment is available, bring your own for maximum comfort. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed. For your own safety and to preserve the environment, do not touch or step on coral. The boat environment requires vigilance; participants must be physically and mentally alert, aware of the surroundings, and fit enough to negotiate steps, ladders and the vessel layout. Please realistically assess your physical fitness and ability prior to booking. The boat environment will be wet; bring personal items and devices at your own discretion.
