After disembarking from the ship, this gentle and culturally enriching tour introduces you to two of Jeju Island’s most iconic experiences. The tour begins with an exclusive Haenyeo performance, offering a rare opportunity to learn about Jeju’s famous women divers. The Haenyeo, recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage, have sustained their communities for generations through free-diving traditions passed down from mother to daughter. During the performance, guests will gain insight into their remarkable skills, resilience, and cultural significance, making this a meaningful introduction to Jeju’s heritage. Don’t miss the opportunity to taste freshly prepared seafood caught by the Haenyeo themselves, including sliced raw fish, for an authentic flavor of the island.
Following the performance, travel comfortably to the O’Sulloc Tea Museum, one of the island’s most beloved cultural landmarks. Surrounded by rolling green tea fields, the museum provides an engaging overview of Korea’s tea history, cultivation methods, and traditional tea ceremonies. Guests may explore the exhibits at their own pace, enjoy the tranquil scenery, or browse the museum shop for tea-related souvenirs and local specialties.
After a refreshing and insightful experience that blends culture, tradition, and nature, you will return comfortably to the ship with lasting memories of Jeju Island’s unique charm.
Please note: After the performance, raw seafood will be offered for tasting. The selection may vary depending on the season. As this is a tasting experience, no dietary requests can be accommodated. The order of the itinerary may vary. Approximately 50 minutes transfer time.
