Day 1 (L/D)
Easter Island is one of the most enigmatic places in the world. This overnight tour will showcase the island's most fascinating archaeological sites.
Upon arrival, your vehicle and guide will take you to Akivi, where you'll see seven restored statues. Learn about the legend of these statues, which represent the seven ambassadors sent to Easter Island by King Hotu Matua.
Next, visit the quarry at the Puna Pau volcano, where the pukao (large red cylinders that adorned the statues) were extracted and carved. This site completes the cycle that began centuries earlier with the carving of the moai at Rano Raraku.
Continue to Ahu Huri A Urenga, one of the 25 platforms located inland rather than on the coast. This site, restored by William Mulloy in 1976, features a unique moai with two pairs of hands.
Afterward, drive to town for lunch at a local restaurant. Post-lunch, relax during a drive to the archaeological site of Orongo. Visit Rano Kau, the volcano closest to the village of Hanga Roa. From the viewpoint, enjoy a stunning view of the crater and its lake, which supports dense, varied, and exotic vegetation.
A short drive will bring you to the ceremonial village of Orongo, one of the island's most outstanding and enigmatic places. This village, once a small gathering of 52 houses built from flagstone, was the center of the birdman culture (Tangata Manu) and its related competition. Spend some time exploring Orongo before heading to your hotel for check-in.
After some rest, enjoy dinner at the hotel. Post-dinner, drive to Ahu Tahai to see the statues and experience the sunset. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Hotel: Nayara Hangaroa
Day 2 (B/L)
Start your day with an early pick-up to visit Ahu Tongariki, a restored platform featuring fifteen re-erected statues and a 656-foot platform. Witness the breathtaking sunrise at this remarkable site. Afterward, return to your hotel for breakfast.
Following breakfast, check out and continue your adventure with a drive to Rano Raraku on the south coast. This quarry provided the stone for all the Moai carved on Easter Island, and you'll find 397 statues in various stages of completion on the slopes of the extinct volcano. Explore this awe-inspiring site.
Next, revisit Tongariki to see the statues illuminated by sunlight. Then, drive to Te Pito Kura, home to an enigmatic stone with magnetic properties and the largest Moai ever carved. Take some time for a photo stop.
Continue your journey to Anakena Beach, renowned for its pink sand and two restored platforms, Ahu Nau Nau and Ahu Ature Huke. After exploring the ahus, walk to your barbecue lunch site, where live music and dance will enhance this spectacular day.
After lunch, drive back to the pier to embark on your vessel.
