Taste the produce of Kangaroo Island on this well-rounded culinary journey.
At Clifford's Honey Farm, you will discover the Ligurian bee. View these industrious creatures through a glass hive and watch an informative audiovisual presentation about them. Check out the local produce, arts and crafts, and cosmetics made with honey and beeswax.
Eucalyptus oil distillation was once one of Kangaroo Island's major industries. It began in the 1880s and provided a supplementary income for the farmers clearing their land for sheep farming. Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery is the only commercial eucalyptus oil distillery in South Australia. An extensive range of local art, crafts and products is available from the gift shop, and you're invited to try the apple cider.
Visit the Emu Bay Lavender Farm to sample lavender scones.
A light lunch is included at one of the stops.
Views during the day include Pennington Bay, the Penneshaw Lookout, Pelican Lagoon, and wild kangaroos lollygagging about in farm paddocks. Watch for Reeves Point -- the place of South Australia's first European settlement.
