Discover Kauai on this full-day tour conducted in a small, intimate group environment.
Your day begins by exploring the famous Opaeka'a Falls and Poliahu Heiau -- one of Kauai's most sacred and historic locations. Here, you can take the self-guided walk to the viewing area that looks out over the waterfall. This is a great photo op! It also takes you to the Wailua River and Fern Grotto. These are among the island's most popular attractions.
Next, take a leisurely boat ride up the Wailua River for a 1.5-hour journey. You’ll be entertained with music, hula performances and narration by the captain. – Once the boat reaches the top of the river you can disembark and walk to the Fern Grotto. The famously romantic Fern Grotto offers a natural amphitheater of lava rock and tropical vegetation -- you'll be met here and serenaded in true Hawaiian style. Just for a moment, it's like stepping back in time.
Discover the North Shore of this beautiful island, learning about its history and culture. Your guide will tell you the legend of the Sleeping Giant and will accompany you on an interior visit to the breathtaking Kilauea Lighthouse and the nearby Kilauea National Wildlife Refuge & Bird Sanctuary. (On Sundays and Mondays the Lighthouse is closed. On these days guests will visit the lighthouse viewing area, along with the Hanalei National Wildlife Refuge viewing area)
After exploring Kilauea Lighthouse, we’ll head to Anaina Hou Community Park, situated just outside Kilauea Town. There, Seabourn guests can indulge in a delightful buffet lunch and enjoy exclusive Hawaiian entertainment. While dining, immerse yourself in live Hawaiian programming before rejoining the motorcoach.
Once refreshed, you’ll re-board the motorcoach and head back to the ship. On your way back we’ll drive through the Princeville Resort Area and Hanalei Bay, viewing the overlooks and sights from inside your motorcoach. These beaches have been voted America's best beach in 2009 by Dr Beach.
When your journey concludes you’ll have a wealth of island knowledge and the satisfaction of seeing some of Kauai's finest scenery.
Please note:
The vehicle does not have storage space for wheelchairs or walkers. Kilauea Lighthouse is closed on Sundays and Mondays; On these days guests will visit the lighthouse viewing area, along with the Hanalei National Wildlife Refuge viewing area. Kindly be aware that our tour experience features live music performances and food preparation. As a result, we require a minimum number of participants to operate. Lunch provided is at Anaina Hou park. Buffet will be served. Vegetarian options can be requested, on board at least 48 hours prior to arrival in the excursion port. There will also be a full bar where beverages can be purchased. Princeville Resort Area and Hanalei Bay are viewed from inside the motorcoach.
