Traverse bustling Papeete before turning inland to venture to the east coast of Tahiti and the Papenoo Valley on this excursion by four-wheel-drive vehicle. Awaiting your discovery is an array of natural treasures as you journey past cascading waterfalls, tropical vegetation and exotic flowers.
As you begin the ascent to the largest valley on the island, views of the surrounding mountains, carved by centuries of erosion and covered with rich multi-green vegetation, will awe you. Enjoy the adventurous drive with photo stops at the many waterfalls, beautiful scenery and breathtaking views from this serene valley.
Time permitting, you may wish to take a refreshing swim in a river.
Please note:
Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk. The route includes uneven road surfaces, off-road driving, and steep ascents/descents. Guests who are pregnant or have a back or neck condition or vertigo are not allowed to participate. The route is winding. Guests prone to motion sickness should consider this before booking and/or take appropriate medication. Traffic can be unpredictable; your patience is greatly appreciated if a delay extends the tour duration. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair. The 4x4 vehicles accommodate six guests each; parties may be split up depending upon tour numbers. This tour is available only to guests whose cruise does not begin or end in Papeete.
